A public conversation.
Shared responsibility.
These rules apply to contributions and use of protests.fyi.
Accounts belong to their contributors.
Contributors describe their observations and perspectives. Label an account as firsthand only if you observed it yourself. Identify the source of information you learned elsewhere. Contributing does not make you a representative of protests.fyi, and a public contribution does not imply the platform endorses it.
Share responsibly.
You are responsible for what you submit. Share material you have the right to publish. Do not impersonate anyone, invent eyewitness experiences, threaten people, incite violence, publish unlawful defamatory material, violate copyright, expose other people’s private personal details, or spam the notebook. Keep precise live locations out. Optional names and social profiles must be your own; they do not establish a verified identity.
Contributions are public.
Your text, title and attached source link can be read, linked to and discussed by others. Any name or social profile you choose to add is also public and can be used to contact you. By submitting, you permit protests.fyi to store and display your contribution and its associated public context. Anonymous contribution is not a promise of confidentiality or complete anonymity.
Votes are a public signal.
Votes indicate usefulness, not verification. The platform does not certify the truth, completeness or currency of an account or an external source. Readers should consider the source and available context before relying on a claim.
Context and platform restrictions.
Questions and contradictory perspectives belong in public context. Content may also be restricted to address spam, abuse, privacy, copyright or applicable legal obligations. This process is separate from public discussion and does not guarantee the accuracy of the remaining content. These terms do not override applicable law or remove statutory rights and responsibilities.
Contact.
For concerns about content, privacy or legal requests, contact @imrithikchopra on X. Include the relevant report link and enough information to identify the issue. Avoid sharing sensitive personal information publicly.
